Hey there drumming enthusiasts!
Hope you're all in the groove and enjoying your time behind the drum. As for me, I've been having an absolute blast, and I thought it's about time we catch up. You might've noticed a bit of radio silence on the Playing With Fire book and online program front recently. Don't worry, I'm still here, and there's a fantastic reason for the quiet spell that I'm excited to share with you.

Last September, I embarked on a musical adventure by teaming up with an awesome new group called Infinit-E, based out of the music city itself, Nashville, TN and playing Johnny Cash and Elvis music (the "E" in Infinit-E stands for Elvis). My partner in crime? None other than my old friend the remarkable Cliff Wright. Now, let me tell you, Cliff's tribute to Johnny Cash is like no other – the guy's got it nailed! And paired up with the incredibly talented Kasey Hutchinson as June Carter, it's an unstoppable combo. Cliff's also got some serious guitar skills and is one of the most respected guitarists in the scene. Fun fact: Cliff and I actually jammed together for over 500 shows during the Branson, MO production of the rockabilly sensation "Million Dollar Quartet," showcasing the iconic era of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Little did we know that our new little group would explode into something bigger than any of us expected. Infinit-E Elvis Tribute has taken us on an incredible journey so far, performing across the U.S. and even hinting at an international tour in Singapore and Malaysia next year – how cool is that?! We've got quite the repertoire too, with over 440 songs under our belts and counting. From Oregon to Florida, Texas to Wisconsin and everywhere in between we're rocking out alongside some of the world's finest Elvis Tribute Artists (ETAs). I mean, these guys are stellar!

And let's talk about the music of Elvis – you may not know this but it's a treasure trove of styles and flavors, giving me a chance to really spread my wings behind the kit. Elvis recorded close to 800 songs in his career and I get to unleash my inner drumming beast on a massive kit, especially when we dive into the 70s era jams. Ronnie Tutt's influence from Elvis' 70s years has had me experimenting with a larger-than-life setup, featuring 2 kick drums (or at least a double kick drum pedal), 7 toms, 1 snare and a symphony of cymbals. Trust me, it's a drumming playground, and it's reigniting the love I felt when I first started playing drums.

Now, with the whirlwind of initial insanity somewhat behind us, I'm gearing up to step more fully back into the pipe band world again. I've got some cool plans up my sleeve, starting with a revamp in the way I print my books. Thanks to an awesome connection with my buddy Jay Brasket, an OKC drumset extraordinaire and new member of the pipe band community, I've

found a new printing partner that offers much better rates. And guess what? Those savings are headed straight to you! The Playing With Fire book is getting a makeover, with a new price tag of only $45 – yes, you read that right. To kick things off, I'm going even further with a special launch offer at $39.99. And here's a bonus: for the next 2 weeks, combine the book with a merch item, and you can shave off an extra $5 using the coupon code: EMAIL5.
I'm stoked about these changes and can't wait to hear what you think. So, don't be shy – drop me a line at playingwithfiredrums@gmail.com and give me the scoop on your drumming journey. Let's keep the rhythm alive and thriving!
Keep rockin’,
Daniel Dossey
